My name is Robert Fayette and I’ve enjoyed traveling in my free time ever since I first experienced weekend camping trips in scouts.

I’ve sat on a live crocodile in Thailand.  I’ve spent a week on a Greyhound Bus traveling to MLB stadiums.  I’ve been an extra in Adam Sandler’s motion picture, Little Nicky and I told actress Gina Carano that she was beautiful which received an ovation.

My life is full of adventure.  If there is an adventure available, I’ll take it – even if it means spending hours in cars and planes.

I’m a 34-year old male who grew up in the infamous Orange County, CA known for its beaches and reality shows.

I used to spend my free time covering musicians for featured articles in nationally published websites.  After many late nights and long summers covering hundreds of acts each year, I no longer felt the motivation.  With a help from a few close friends and the desire to travel, I dusted off my hiking shoes and gathered together my camera equipment for an adventure to Alaska in winter 2015.  I haven’t looked back since.

My Travel Philosophy

To quote Walt Disney, “If you can dream it, you can do it.”  After years of working countless jobs where I had to spend the majority of the year saving up to take one trip a year, I realized that there has to be a better alternative to travel smarter.

Since I began traveling more often in 2016, I reconnected with an old friend and established a great bond as we spent many late nights traveling to nearby national parks and areas that caught our interest.  As we began traveling more, we quickly learned the DO’s and DON’Ts when it came to traveling.

Much of my traveling is done on a budget, a definition that has continuously evolved.  With this, my goal is to showing you how to find the maximum value on a budget, while splurging a little to get the true value out of your travel.

Thank you for following me along my journey.
